Indian Visa Information

For travel to India, it is necessary to have obtained a valid tourist visa prior to your arrival in India. Below are the steps NSJ recommends you take to obtain this visa:

1. Go to the link provided below and download the visa application. Note at this time any phone numbers or e-mail addresses that will provide assistance in tracking your application, as well as the normal processing time for visa applications.
2. Complete the application, using the example form provided on our website as a reference.
3. Send the application, the visa fee, your passport and a self-addressed envelope with the proper amount of return postage to the nearest Indian Consulate or Embassy. If you are unsure of the closest Consulate or Embassy, there is a link provided below which will help you with that information.
4. If you have not received your passport containing the valid Indian visa for which you have applied within the normal processing period, use the number or e-mail address to contact the Consulate or Embassy.
5. If you still have not received your passport containing the valid visa after contacting the appropriate Indian Consulate or Embassy, please contact NSJ and notify us of the situation.
6. As soon as you receive your passport containing the valid Indian visa, please photocopy the passport photo page as well as the visa and send the copies to North Star Journeys – P.O. Box 8181 Santa Fe, NM 87504 U.S.A.

Please note: hardcopies of passports and visas must be sent by postal delivery. NSJ will not accept these documents as files sent via e-mail. North Star Journeys reserves the right to refuse admission to its trips if copies of your passport and visa are not provided prior to departure.
