One thing that is important to us at NSJ is being upfront with you about what
we do and don’t deliver. We feel it is obvious that we provide an exceptional
value in travel. We are providing this list so that you can come to the same conclusion.

What NSJ trips include (Things we deliver):
- An itinerary and route focused on maximum cultural interaction while maintaining
a travel pace that allows time for daily personal exploration
- A small group of like-minded individuals with whom you are able to share,
explore, and experience a remote and amazing corner of the world
- Travelex travel insurance including $50,000 Medical expense/Medical Evacuation
coverage
- Accommodations in quality local guesthouses and hotels
- NSJ approved staff of full-time local guides that have at least ten years
experience guiding in the region and who are fluent in English as well as local
languages and dialects
- Gratuities for NSJ staff, all guiding services, and accommodations
- Entrance fees to attractions, temples, and museums
- All group ground transportation
- Advice and recommendations regarding airfare
- NSJ Learning the Art of Travel Program
- Multiple opportunities on a daily basis to practice points taken from NSJ
Learning the Art of Travel Program with guided instruction at your own
pace
- One-on-one and group discussions concerning NSJ Learning the Art of Travel
Program
- The knowledge that a percentage of proceeds from your journey go towards
the NSJ Shining Star Program and The Smile Train (see Making a Difference)
- USA sales tax
What NSJ trips do not include (Things we don’t deliver
and for which we are not responsible):
- Airfare and associated taxes
- Meals, snacks, bottled water, beverages
- Laundry, internet access, international phone, mailing expenses
- Indian-government-issued visa
- Gratuities associated with personal expenses
- The mindset that you bring with you on your trip
- The type or quality of interactions that take place between you and other
people regardless of gender, race, religion, or nationality
- Your level of participation and the degree to which you experience success
or failure as a result of practicing the NSJ Learning the Art of Travel Program
- The weather and the impact you feel it has on
your trip
- Any disparity between reality and preconceived notions you may have concerning
local behavior, cultural norms, smells, sights, sounds, food, cleanliness, hygiene
and health
- How your trip affects your life
